Happy 50th Anniversary Lads from Liverpool....

*Warning* the opinions contained herein are those of the author.. wait... I'm always giving my opinion.....
Fifty years ago, four lads from Liverpool entered an EMI recording studio in London, England to record a song titled "Love Me Do" ... and as they say, history was made. The world of music was forever altered by the emergence of these four charismatic mates.

The Beatles recognized the necessity to be different and they created innovative sounds and techniques that are duplicated by musicians today.  The boys gained tremendous fame and fortune, but they also lost their privacy due to the hysteria resulting from their popularity. While I realize The Beatles aren't everyone's cup of tea, it's difficult to deny that this band had a great impact on modern music.  I've always felt that individually they were great musicians, but as a quartet...they were unforgettable.

How about you "turn off your mind, relax and float downstream" ( a la "Tomorrow Never Knows"/Revolver).......and join me this Sunday as I chat with BritBeat, a Beatles tribute band from Chicago.  The show is at 11:00 a.m. CST and you tune in by going to the link below.

BritBeat performs a fantastic show that duplicates costumes and instruments used by the Fab Four, and are renowned across the country.  You will feel like you are hearing the original Beatles..back in the day.

I'll also fill you in on a little recipe called Brit Treats.....Tune in for the fun!
