Sorry Dos Equis, Ivor Davis is the Most Interesting Man in the World

Ivor Davis, author of "The Beatles and Me On Tour"
www.ivordavisbeatles.com
Who was the journalist that traveled with The Beatles for a 24-city tour in late summer, 1964?
Who was with The Beatles when they met their idol, Elvis Presley?
Who was with The Beatles when Bob Dylan introduced them to weed?
Who was a ghost writer for George Harrison?
Who played all night games of Monopoly with John Lennon?
Ivor and George
Additionally, who penned a book about the Manson murders that was used as a "blueprint for the prosecution?"
Who was there when Robert Kennedy was assassinated?
Who has covered stories about riots, floods, earthquakes and politics?

The world's most interesting man:  Ivor Davis.

The acutely brilliant, distinguished journalist recently recorded his rollicking adventures with The Beatles in 1964, when they conducted their first official tour of the U.S.
Davis was hand-picked by the London Daily Express, his British employer, to accompany The Beatles on their whirlwind tour. Davis was instructed to eat, drink, sleep and frolic with the boys and report the details with vitality.

I recently met Davis at The Fest for Beatles Fans in Chicago and was struck by his genuine charm. He never runs out of great stories, because he has observed and reported on some of the most important stories of our lifetime.
The Beatles and Me On Tour has to be one of the most enjoyable books I've ever read. Each chapter is jam-packed with tales that will surprise readers as Ivor recounts the 34 days he was part of The Beatles' "traveling circus." The stories have a smooth coating that allow you to savor the tale, but prompts a picture of the raucous inferno that enveloped John, Paul, George and Ringo.

Ivor Davis will be on my radio show Wednesday, September 9, at 4:00 p.m. CENTRAL time. Please tune in and call into the show if you have a question for him! The interview will be mesmerizing, I promise!
