The Hits Kihn-tinue

It's so cliché to start with "I remember when I was in high school"...but I'm gonna do it anyway. During my high school days, The Greg Kihn Band was blasting on the Kansas City radio stations, along with The Police, J. Geils Band and Judas Priest.  Kihn's hits "Jeopardy" and "The Breakup Song" rocked lots of hip Missouri country teenagers & we proudly blasted the tunes in our cars.
Greg Kihn experienced success in his music career and with great ease he smoothly transitioned over to radio disc jockey in San Francisco, where he planted himself for nearly 17 terrific years. The musician proved that he could not only write hit songs, but he could write outstanding novels. His first novel, Horror Show, was nominated for the prestigious Bram Stoker Award for Best First Novel.

His latest "hit" Rubber Soul, is part murder mystery, part coming-of-age story, brilliantly inspired by interviews with Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Patti Harrison, Yoko Ono and Pete Best. The characters are meticulously developed and tell the story of how four lads in Liverpool obtained vinyl records from the USA, which influenced their creativity & took their band to unimaginable heights. The story, bound with completely accurate historical details, is an engrossing tale conveying the Fab 4's road to stardom which also includes an unforgettable assassination plot in 1966 by Ferdinand Marcos in The Philippines.

Tuesday, September 3 is the release date for Rubber Soul  and I am incredibly honored to host Greg on my radio show, where he will talk about his new book & other projects. You are invited to tune in live (it's a 30 min. show) & I invite you to call the show to ask Greg a question or congratulate him on his latest hit.  The phone number is found on the radio show link.

Sounds like a fun mystery! I'm trying to figure out the connection between Marcos and the boys. Why would he have wanted them assassinated, even fictitiously???
